Liquid medical products fell from the transporter’s trailer

The manufacturer had worked with a haulier to draw up specifications for the temperature-controlled shuttles that would transport the goods between sites.

The driver loaded three vats of liquid medical products into his refrigerated lorry.

While moving the vehicle, the vats tipped over, spilling their contents on the floor.

Our loss adjusters were urgently dispatched and the spill was quickly contained using protective sheets. The area affected by the spill was also rinsed and thoroughly cleaned.

After performing a chemical risk assessment, a procedure was put into place to dispose of the waste and drain the protective sheets.

GM Consultant’s damage survey made it possible to accurately identify the source of the incident, as well as to implement corrective actions to prevent a similar incident from occurring.
