Water seepage in a stadium’s VIP box

A large French city’s agglomeration community tasked a private company with the implementation and operation of a photovoltaic roof under an emphyteutic lease.

Seepage occurred in the roof to the right of press boxes. Because the city was unable to call on another insurer to handle this claim, it contacted the public liability insurer of the company that manufactured the photovoltaic panels.

By analysing the claim’s documentation, our loss adjuster specialising in construction was able to point out that the incident fell under decennial liability. The Structural Damages insurer for this claim was mobilised, and the client that appointed us was cleared of all possible accountability.
