GM Consultant was asked to assist a policyholder that manufactures industrial ventilation and refrigeration equipment.
As part of an extension to its production site in Belgium in 2010, the cheese maker ordered air conditioning equipment for the cheese-drying rooms from the policyholder.
The policyholder subcontracted some of the supply and assembly of the refrigeration equipment for the air conditioner, which used glycol water.
The primary cooling system uses ammonia from a different supplier.
GM CONSULTANT INTERVENTION
In this case, the GM Consultant loss adjuster initially assisted the policyholder in the amicable procedure, showing that the merchandise loss could not be attributed to the policyholder’s services.
GM Consultant is currently providing technical support as part of the judicial expertise process, to demonstrate that the causes of the loss do not indicate any deficiencies in the policyholder’s services.
