Focus on our North-East loss adjusters
In Summer 2016, we made the decision to reinforce our presence in the North-Eastern region inaugurating the Nancy agency. One year later, a team of 6 people works between Metz, Mulhouse and Nancy. We interviewed Jean-Paul Marques, Ile-de-France /North-East Manager.
Who are the North-East loss adjusters?
Our loss adjusters are mostly issued from the region and know the field very well. Complementarity is the strength of our agency. Each loss adjuster is specialized in a field and can work in very technical cases related to the region specifications. On the field, Nicolas Arnaud, at the origin of the creation of the agency, Emmanuel De Vigneral, who has worked at GM Consultant for almost 8 years, Emmanuel Fricker based in Alsace, and our new talented Jean-Baptiste Brode, who has just joined the team. At the agency, two assistants accompany our loss adjusters every day.
On which type of cases does the Nancy agency works?
With their wide panel of skills, our local loss adjusters are able to deal with a great variety of fields, in Property and Civil Liability. Our proximity allows us to intervene quickly. We have lots of cases in machinery breakdown and more generally in the field of public works, lifting and maintenance. The other majority of losses that we handle, concern multi-risk warranties, civil liability and automobile.
What are the North-Eastern Region features?
Railway and lifting are the main fields, thanks to the presence of many companies specialized in these fields, that reflect the industrial tradition of the region. Renewable energies are also present, with wind, photovoltaic, hydroelectric energy, biomass and cogeneration. According to the field, we send a specialized loss adjuster. For instance, Emmanuel de Vigneral, previous engineer in railways and fond of mechanics, acts in all losses related to railway equipment.
Could you tell us about a case?
It is difficult to talk just about one example… The most spectacular maybe the derailment of a freight train following the shock with a truck on a level crossing. I can recall other examples, like the breaking of the slewing bearing of a wind turbine or the reversal of a crane following a programming mistake of the control system of the load.
